New "The Amazing Spider-man" Images
Every once in awhile Entertainment Weekly debuts something awesome, this would be one of those instances. In this case we get a combination of movie stills and composed studio shots of characters/costumes from Sony's 2012 release The Amazing Spider-man.
For the first time we get to see the Spider-man costume in full, with the reveal of the red back-spider. Emma Stone gets her first official reveal as Gwen Stacy and in one shot she is even addressing Peter Parker's wounds. The first shot of his web-shooters are revealed, with their classic design intact. Martin Sheen and Sally Field are shown as the younger, hipper Aunt May and doomed Uncle Ben. Finally, Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans) has his first official reveal, and if you look closely you can see all of his reptile research on his desk. It is rumored that the first official teaser trailer for the film will be attached to Captain America: The First Avenger. To see all the photos in full detail hit the jump.
A Conversation With Myself - "Another Earth" Review
Every morning that I wake up I follow a very specific procedure: shower, shave, get dressed, watch The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, eat breakfast, and brush my teeth. What is different each day is the narrative or conversation that I am constructing in my head about my life:
"Do I look good in this shirt? Am I prepared for the day ahead of me? Am I happy with whom I’ve become?"
It is this conversation that I have with myself on a daily basis that Another Earth brings into the light. Most films are content to internalize that discussion, in the form of voiceovers. Another Earth isn’t so content. Instead it asks the question, what would it actually be like to talk to yourself? It does so by instead externalizing that conversation in the form of “Earth 2.”

A Religious Experience - "The Tree of Life" Review
After three years of production and a stunning debut at the Cannes Film Festival, in which it won the coveted Palme d'Or, I can safely testify that The Tree of Life is the closest to a religious experience that I have ever been a part of.
"The Dark Knight Rises" Teaser Poster Destroys Gotham
It seems as if Christopher Nolan is still stuck in Inception mode for his posters because today's reveal of The Dark Knight Rises teaser poster seems eerily familiar. Check out the full image after the jump.

"The Adventures of Tintin" - International Trailer
We've seen a number of teaser trailers of Steven Spielberg's holiday title, but here it is in all of its glory: the first full-length trailer for The Adventures of Tintin. In the trailer we get the first full reveal of how the mo-cap animated characters from Hergé's classic graphic novels will look and act in this movie world. Spielberg has talked a lot about how the animated environment has allowed him to open up his camerawork and lighting, and personally this trailer excites me to see all the tricks he has in store for us. Do you think that Spielberg can redeem himself from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? Does the mo-cap animation work for you? Just watch the trailer after the break.

Evolution is Necessary for Survival - "X-Men: First Class" Review
Over 10 years ago, America was introduced to Marvel Comics’ popular X-Men on the silver screen. The film was such a hit it inspired several sequels and kick-started the trend of adapting comics into movies, many of which have become the biggest blockbusters of the decade.
After the release of the mature and meditative The Dark Knight, a film that proved comic book movies could be more than just popcorn-munching entertainment, no other film came along to carry the baton it seemed to be passing along begging the film industry to take the medium a bit more seriously.

The Samurai Epic Returns - "13 Assassins" Review
“In a mad world, only the mad are sane.” – Akira KurosawaTashaki Miike’s 13 Assassins is not just a love letter to traditional samurai action films, but one of the finest entries in the genre that cinema has seen. 13 Assassins is Miike’s 83rd film in his prolific 23-year career, and he shows absolutely no signs of abating.
